Answer: Standardized tests such as TOEFL, SAT, AP are required to taken to apply for top universities in the US.

The TOEFL exam consists of four parts: reading, listening, speaking and writing. The total score of each section is 30, and the total score of the four sections is 120. TOEFL is one of the prerequisites for admission to an American university. Generally, a university requires a score of 80 or more. If you want to apply to a top university, you need to achieve 90 points or more.

 

The SAT exam is divided into SAT I and SAT II. The SAT1 test scores 1600 points, and is divided into reading, grammar and mathematics, while the writing section is optional. SAT II is a single-subject special examination. There are 20 exams including mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology, French, German and history, etc. The full score of each exam is 800 points. Most of the top 50 universities in the United States require SAT I scores, and most of the top 30 universities require or advise the applicants provide 2 or 3 SAT II scores.

 

AP is an American Advanced Placement Program. Excellent AP scores can improve the success rate of applying for prestigious American universities while ensuring excellent TOEFL and SAT scores.
